Upcoming Show, New Work and Some Summer Fun In the Sun
I’ve got a lot of new work ready from both my FLOW series and Mare Incognitum, just in time for the Arundel Art show taking place this Saturday. We’ll be a group of over 20 local artists showing at the church in the village, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you’re in the area I hope you’ll drop by!
I haven’t been doing a great job on the marketing end of things this summer. Part of the reason is that I have a new phone that doesn’t photograph blues very well so I takes a lot of effort in Photoshop to balance the colours. But I have to admit that mostly it’s that the weather has been amazing so after painting, I’ve spent my time soaking up the sun and the blue inspiration at the lake rather than on marketing and post-production tasks. Carpe Diem, right?
I hope you’ve found some time to enjoy the summer too. Life is damned short, so spend it doing what you love! If you’re in need of some lake or ocean view inspiration for your space, the little one posted at the top of this post is available now – it’s so fresh off the easel it still needs varnish and a name. I’ll be posting a bunch of bigger pieces this week too: after my daily swim and nap on the dock, I’ll fix them up in Photoshop and pop them onto Instagram. Well, maybe after Jasmine’s daily adventure…
Oh and by the way, if you haven’t read All the Light We Cannot See yet, pick it up, it’s great.

Let’s keep in touch…
I’ve got a new side project up on Instagram as well, showcasing my nature photography – if you’d like to take a look, you’ll find it at @greenwoman_wandering

And as always…
If you see anything you like on the blog or on my site, please let me know. All paintings are available unless noted as sold. My studio is pretty full right now, so I’m currently offering a discount equivalent to or greater than the value of the shipping costs on purchases of multiple paintings. And if you’re within 500 km of where I live, I just might deliver!
